2016 Alta Langa DOCG Extra Brut
Drink because…
A brut which pairs with an array of different things!
Grapes
Pinot Noir & Chardonnay
Storage
Minimum of 30 months
Viticulture
The hand-harvested grapes, which are exposed to the East, are placed into small baskets.
Winemaking
The small baskets of grapes are brought to the winery, where they are pressed in whole cluster and the skins are taken off. During fermentation of both grapes, they are kept at a low temperature. The wine refines for a period until it is left for 30 months. Thereafter dosage takes place.
Tasting Note
On the nose, this wine has bread crust, dried peaches & apricots and some underlying floral notes. The wine is full and rich with a good acidity and creamy sensation.
Can be paired well with salami, cheese, quiche or shell fish. Sparkles are always a good option when celebrating!
