2018 Nebbiolo "Le Coste" MAGNUM, Roero DOCG, Cascina Ca'Rossa

Nebbiolo "Le Coste" Roero DOCG from Cascina Ca'Rossa is made in Santo Stefano Roero, where the grapes are exposed in the south area at a 280m hight. The grapes are hand-harvested in the middle of October.
Firstly, the wine is aged in big Slovenian oak barrels and thereafter in some months in a bottle. The wine must undergo ageing in wood due to the grape.
In the nose, cherry, plum, raspberry and violet scents can be distinguished. As the wine opens up, a gradual scent of tobacco and liquorice can also be hinted.
The wine pairs well with complex, meat-based meals and truffle-based dishes. Aged cheeses also highlight the taste of this wine.
Recommended temperature is 16-18 degrees.
