Barbera d'Alba DOC "Mulassa" from Cascina Ca'Rossa is made in Canale d'Alba, where the grapes are exposed in the south, south-west areas at a 200-250m hight. The grapes are hand-harvested in the third week of September.
Winemaking
The ageing of the wine takes place in big barrels of Slovenian oak.
Tasting Note
On the nose, Mulassa is lively with ripe fruity notes such as cherry, plum and blackberry. A woody scent is given off along with light scents of tobacco and coffee. This barbera is full-bodied and well-balanced, with an aftertaste that lingers.
To be paired with sweet dishes and good fattiness, such as grilled red meat.

Recommended temperature between 16-18 degrees.
